If you’ve ever seen the sitcom Cheers then you’ll remember Norm, the lovable character who is serenaded with his name each time he enters the bar. Well, that’s the best way to describe Byro… he’s the dog equivalent to Cheers’ Norm. He’s a sweet, lovable mixed breed who loves people and brings joy to whoever he comes in contact with. He loves holding the leash on walks and loves to play with other dogs. If you pay him a visit, he gets very excited when he sees you through the glass from his kennel. However, don’t let his excitement scare you away. He’s not aggressive, but rather eager to play and maybe even get a scruff or eight!
Here’s a little more info from the shelter where he currently resides:

- A very outgoing and happy boy who is looking for a loving family
- Currently he is a bit of a couch potato and a tad overweight (he came in at 101 lbs. and is now down to a trim/healthy 73 lbs.)…so exercise and special diet food will be a must
- Hang on tight to the leash when taking him for a walk
- Can be a bit stubborn, but is very treat motivated
- Would benefit from additional obedience training; does know “come” and “sit” and works best with a treat
- He will make a wonderful addition to the right family that can meet his specific needs and keep him mentally challenged.
