Sorry I’m Late, I Saw a Dog!”
Hello fellow explorers, foodies, and dog lovers! We’re thrilled to have you here at The Berner Report. My name is Frank and together with my wife, Kris, we wanted to carve out a little corner of the internet where we could celebrate our two greatest joys: dogs and travel. With each post, we aim to provide you with useful information regarding dog ownership while also sharing our experiences exploring various dog-friendly destinations, establishments, attractions, and events. Whether you’re an avid globetrotter, a dedicated dog lover, or simply seeking inspiration for your next getaway, we hope you enjoy this site, and our blog is helpful to you.
Our Love of Dogs
Together, we have accumulated over 50 years of experience owning and caring for both large and small dogs including purebreds and mixed breeds. We currently reside in the Dallas Fort Worth area with our two dogs, Molly the Bernese Mountain Dog, and Stanley the Goldendoodle. Two completely different breeds but equally loved.
So, what makes us experts? Well, we’re not canine psychologists, dog dieticians, or book authors. No canine-related certificates hanging on our walls that we got from an internet course. But we do know what works and what doesn’t. We have a keen understanding of canine product workmanship and quality as well as a wealth of tips and ideas related to dogs that can make your life easier and your dog happier. We also love to share dog-inspired stories about how our canine friends generally make our lives better. From a Goldendoodle therapy dog who has brightened a person’s day to a parade with a Bernese Mountain Dog pulling a cart filled with puppies, if there’s a dog around, life is just more enjoyable!
Our Passion for Travel…and Food!
As a retired commercial airline executive, I was fortunate enough to have flown over a million miles, stayed in hundreds of hotels, and dined at over a thousand restaurants. I also had the privilege to travel around the world with Kris and my kids. From every state in the union to many countries from Canada to Brazil and from the UK to Russia, we’ve probably been there. During our travels, we had the chance to experience different cultures that were dog-friendly, including local bars, cozy inns, and popular tourist spots. We have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding both domestic and international dog culture. We aim to inspire your wandering spirit, offering travel advice, insider tips, and stories from our journeys, all with a dog-friendly twist.
Thank you for joining us on this tail-wagging journey through the world of dogs and travel. We hope that our stories, tips, and adventures will inspire you to embark on your own unforgettable quest with your furry companions. So, leash up your best friend, pack your bags, and let’s explore this beautiful world together, one pawprint at a time. Safe travels, and may your adventures be filled with wagging tails and happy memories!
